Citation
Description An individual's dietary preferences and eating habits are factors that can influence the development of tooth decay. Some phenotypes of taste preferences have a simple monogenic inheritance, while most others are subject to a complex genetic structure. The aim of this study was to identify eleven single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) that are involved in taste perception (glucose transporter - GLUT, carbonic anhydrase - CA, sweet and hot taste receptors - TASR) and to analyze the results in the context of dental status of dental students (ZL) and their dietary and taste preferences.
