Description | The aim of this chapter is to introduce readers to the concept of dealing with foreign judgments and present the basic differences among the main concepts used in the EU Member States that constitute the reason for the creation of the unified EU regulation represented by the Brussels Convention, Brussels I Regulation (hereinafter B I) and Brussels I Recast Regulation (hereinafter B IA). Therefore, both historical development and the concept of dealing with foreign judgments adopted by the unified EU regulation will be addressed. |
