Description | This review defines limits of currently used techniques to assess developmental capacity of human embryos in assisted reproduction and provides an overview of techniques assessing embryo’s physiology on levels of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics. Basic principles of respective techniques are covered and discovered biomarkers are discussed with respect to biochemical functions and its prognostic value of embryonal development. |
