Citation
Description The presentation is aimed on etymology of chosen terms for animals of Proto-Slavic origin that are still used in Slavic languages. Primary focus is on Old Church Slavonic, and Bulgarian (contemporary Czech and other languages, where needed). Bulgarian serves as lexical contrast due to the substitution of certain terms with names of various origin - such words are described in the corresponding etymological sections. The presentation introduces course of the thesis (collecting the lexical material, comparison, etymology, and sorting of the terms) and methods of word forming and etymology used to transfer the terms into contemporary Bulgarian language.
