Description The review of the book „God is Back: How the Global Revival of Faith Is Changing the World“ by American authors John Micklethwait and Adrian Wooldridge, originally published in 2009. It was translated to Czech in 2014; this Czech translation is the subject of the review. Main topic of the book is growing significance of religion in public sphere and world affairs related to globalization. The book is meant for wide public. In introduction, authors describe current boom of Christianity in China. From this point authors argument about coexistence of modernity and religion – and not just about coexistence but also the fact that modernity de facto helped the book of religion. Europe may be consider an exception however; even in Europe, we can see the expansion of so-called “American model”.
