| Description | Blockchain is supposed to ensure significant decrease in transaction cost and rapid speed up of financial assets transactions. Furthermore it promises noticeable increase in cybersecurity and new tool in combating the security incidents. The unsolved issues are primarily organizational, which is closely related to possible ways of regulation, institutional supervision and protection against misuse to the detriment of consumers. The aim of the contribution is to discuss the currently available outcomes about the realistically possible and plausible scope of application of this technology in the near-time future and the current direction of the regulatory development within European union. |
