Description The guide summarizes recommended steps to improve internal processes of office / small municipality. The guide has four main thematic sections: 1. In the first (Chapter 2) summarizes the role of knowledge management and the barriers they may face knowledge management. 2. In the second part (chapter 3) summarizes recommended steps for systematic implementation of knowledge management (chapter 4) and barriers they may face this implementation. 3. In the third part (Chapter 5) the guide summarizes, how it can be evaluated existing practice in knowledge management. 4. In the last part (chapters 6-10) there are given (for further inspiration authorities) the tools and processes with which it is associated knowledge management - how can be the inner knowledge identified and captured, how this knowledge can be improved and shared within the office, what should be shared with external parties, and finally how the authorities can generate new knowledge. In the chapter 9 are the sources of knowledge for development in the country. Two version of the guide were prepared - the first for small municipalities and the second for larger authorities.
