Description | Combined microscopic approaches enabled a multidimensional depiction of the body wall organisation. For first time, the freeze-etching was used to investigate the tegument organisation in monogeneans. Comparison of data obtained from P. bliccae and other diplozoids allow to evaluate the degree of their diversification and adaptation to the ectoparasitic life. |
