Description | The significant interference of the drug Dicynone in quantification of a number of clinically important parameters incentivized us to develop a method for quantification of the drugs’ effective compound ethamsylate (ETS). This enabled us to correlate the drug concentration to the extent of the interference in various clinical parameters. The results are lowered on average by 38,1 and 14,3 % for serum creatinine and triglycerides, respectively. The ETS concentration decreased by 59,2 % in 8 hours, while simultaneously the creatinine and triglycerides values increased by 21,3 and 10,6 %, respectively. These results showed a direct link between serum ETS concentrations and interference as well as description of a decreased interference in samples that were stored. |
