Description Diversity of macrozoobenthos in three brooks with tufa precipitation was studied in the Velká podkrušnohorská Spoil Heap in the Sokolov Coal Basin in 2013–2014. Modráčkový Brook (SO42- 2080–3180 mg/l) with dighest diversity in of stream morphology, Okružní Brook (SO42- 3080–3760 mg/l) with highest tufa precipitation and highest discharge and Pohlreichův Brook (SO42- 4020–5400 mg/l) with straight channel. All main groups of macrozoobenthos were recorded with highest diversity in Diptera with 105 taxa, Mollusca 20 species (4 aquatic), Coleoptera 15, Clitellata 14, Trichoptera 10, Plecoptera 5, Odonata 4 and the most sensitive were Ephemeroptera and Hemiptera with 1 species each. Also rare and endangered species were recorded: Eubria palustris (CR), Cordulegaster boltonii (VU), Amphinemura standfussi (VU), Oxycera pygmaea (EN), Stratiomys chamaeleon (EN), Stratiomys longicornis (VU), Panimerus albifacies (EN), Trichomyia urbica (CR) and Oxyethira falcata (EN).
