Description | The purpose of this paper is to investigate the future of digital reading and present possible scenarios for designing digital reading experience. Author uses a foresight method called Horizon scanning which consists of desk research focusing on published experimental research studies within the field of reading on screen and on paper. Psychological and cognitive aspects of reading are presented here. Second part of the Horizon scanning method is a review of up-to-day emerging technological trends. Possible future scenarios for digital reading are discussed. |
