| Description | Extension transplantation criteria about hearts from non-heart-beating-donors (NHBD) may expand donor organ pool. These hearts are not used due period of ischemia. Extracorporeal machine perfusion (EMP) may ameliorate the ischemic injury.Short term EMP may recover the cardiac functions after 25 minutes of in situ WI regardless the temperature at which perfusion was done. In reconditioned groups by EMP were trend towards a better recovery between 25°C and 30°C was present. |
