| Description | I call "preventive move" such a contribution to a debate which (a) relates to dialogical move of opponent and (b) is put into action in advance with (c) the aim to obtain some advantage in the context of dialogue. Some preventive moves are forbidden in critical discussion (i.e. taboo), other steps of the same kind are not regulated at all. I introduce some types of preventive moves, describe and evaluate them by means of normative dialectical theory. |
