Description | Biochar is a fine-grained char made of biomass, which is appropriate compenent of agricultural soil helping to improve the physical properties and its fertility. In addition, biochar is an opportunity for carbon sequestration and hence mitigation of global climate change, eutrophication problem solving, but it is also a source of energy. Although the interest of scientists from different disciplines focused on biochar only in the last decade, the number of scientific studies on biochar grows exponentially every year. Science education should reflect this trend. In this paper we present learning activities integrating science, which also have significant overlap in environmental education. |
