Description Our target was to present older data, which were recorded during 1999-2001 (GA206/02/0902) from two rivers in the Dyje River basin, the Rokytná and Loučka Rivers. They were both selected because of their similar hydrology on one hand and different altitudinal geographical grade, where the Rokytná River represents coline and the Loučka River submontane grade, on the other hand. Samples of 2 ml of sediment were taken monthly with the exception of January on particular habitats. During 18 months, 124 samples from the Rokytná and 110 samples from the Loučka Rivers, were taken. Total taxa number and abundance of micro-meio benthos were even with: 269 taxa and 19.479 individuals in the Rokytná River and 241 taxa and 20.182 individuals in the Loučka River.
