| Description | The aim of this paper is to sum up the basic theoretical approaches, which somehow influence the existence of the barriers of regional development. First part deals with the term region, its characteristics and classifying the different types of regions. In the second part, there is solved the issue of regional competitiveness and there are emphasized especially two different approaches in the view of this matter. Third part deals briefly on factors of regional development and it is followed by the issue of regional disparities. All these chapters are particularly based on existing summary of publication sources dealing with mentioned topics. |
