| Description | Individual units of present cultural landscape – cultural landscapes represent characteristic territorial units originated as products of natural factors and human activities and have common cultural history. They were distinguished with respect to their specific view given by terrain and land use pattern. Elementary units create more complex higher units called cultural regions with respect to their common features and proximity. The highest division unit is represented by cultural provinces. Every unit of present cultural landscape, region and/or province is described by its unique terrain and functional features, distinguishing itself from other neighboring units on its appropriate hierarchical level. |
