Monitoring delirium in neurointensive care is an important part of treating patients and improving their prognosis, but its symptoms might overlap with those of primary brain dysfunction. Screening tests such as ICDSC and CAM-ICU are recommended. One of the diagnostic difficulties is the still insufficient differentiation of NCSE that can mimic delirium. Specification of the optimal EEG monitoring algorithm for patients with delirium would simplify the diagnostics of NCSE.
