Project is targeting the main topic of the call and does aim to answer basic questions regarding the use of ICT technologies within the modern infrastructures in connection with increasing number of cyber security threats.
Critical infrastructures form the backbone of modern industrialized nations that provide essential services in many areas such as energy, information technology and communications, transport and transport, media and culture, state and governance.
These infrastructures are increasingly controlled by Internet-connected IT systems. As a result, the attack from the outside is possible and protection from cyber attacks has become a new challenge for Europe and the European Union.
The European Union and the European Commission therefore support research on new approaches to IT security in critical infrastructures.
The goal is to develop tomorrow's future solutions and explore new approaches to IT security assessment and IT security enhancement with a strong bearing on the cost policy of municipal authorities and management tasks not only in IT.
