Come get inspired! The YEM International Scientific Conference provides doctoral students and young academics with the opportunity to present the results of their research work and obtain feedback from participants and discussants. The conference is a great opportunity to get acquainted with current research in Europe and to establish contacts for future research projects. The main guests will be Erig Plug (University of Amsterdam) and Subhasish M. Chowdhury (University of Bath). We look forward to an interesting discussion!

Jakub Hlávka - Advisor to the President of the Czech Republic for Health Care organized a round table on the topic "Shortage of doctors in the regions"

Jakub Hlávka, Director of the Institute for Health Economics, Policy, and Innovation at Masaryk University in Brno (HEPII), has served as an advisor to the President of the Czech Republic for Health Care since September. In this new role, he co-organized a roundtable discussion with President Petr Pavel and Eva Pavlová entitled "Primary Care Physician Shortage in Czech Regions," which focused on the challenges faced by primary care physicians in the Czech Republic.

At the meeting of the Academic Senate, the appointment of the new ECON MUNI management was officially approved

On Monday, 18 November 2024, the AS ECON MUNI meeting confirmed the faculty leadership for the next four years. Most of the Vice-Deans continue with their agenda with updated priorities, the team will be newly completed by Oleg Deev as Vice-Dean for Strategy and Development.

Ondřej Špetík: Shared bikes can be an effective alternative to public transport and cars

In some parts of the city, it can be faster to ride a shared bike than to drive or take public transport. In Brno, these are areas like Nová Zbrojovka or Spielberg Office, where traffic is heavy and public transport accessibility is poor. Dr Ondřej Špetík from ECON MUNI talks about how Brno residents use the bike-sharing system in the following interview.
