Based on the new provision from the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration, guideline to the organization and completion of the Spring 2020 semester was published.
The purpose of the guideline is to provide information to all students and teachers on the course and completion of their studies, to allow flexible response to changes in emergency measures and to ensure the completion of courses and studies in an objective and transparent manner.
On-line teaching in the Spring semester 2020
The Study On-line System (SOL) automatically starts transmissions of the lectures and archives them. Students have standardized access to watch the lectures recorded. SOL has a central support from ICTC - that's why we prefer to use this platform. However, teachers can replace SOL with another on-line platform if it suits better for their courses. This is decided by the guarantors of the courses and approved by the heads of departments.
Keep in mind that we have acquired a number of new electronic resources that can help you in your studies. The library will be closed until the end of the semester, but you can use the on-demand book scanning service. The faculty library gradually adds new resources for self-study at their webpages. It is also possible to use Bloomberg in distance form.
End of the Teaching and Examination period in the Spring semester 2020
Examination dates will be available during the entire examination period (May 18 - September 30, 2020). The teachers are supposed to announce enough exam dates at the beginning of the examination period so that all students who take the Final state exam in June can complete their studies in time. They should also announce enough exam dates in September to give all students a chance to complete the semester. A reasonable number of exam dates is expected in July and August, especially with regard to the total number of students in the course and the current quarantine situation.
The standard exams method is preferred, but with regard to the circumstances. Nevertheless, it doesn’t matter what form the exam takes, the objectivity of the exam and its evaluation is guaranteed. It is up to the guarantors of the courses to decide in what form and under what circumstances the examination will take place. It is possible to use one form and change it later for the other one and it is also possible to use both forms at the same time (according to the possibilities of individual students).
Final State Exam and submission of final theses in the Spring semester 2020
The final State exams will take place in June and September 2020 on the dates specified in the Academic Calendar 2019/2020. Students choose the exam date on their own and apply for it without submitting any further requests in the IS from April 9, 2020 until April 20, 2020.
It is preferred to organize the State exams in a standard, present way at the Faculty. Unfortunately, this might not be always possible for various reasons, in such cases you will be notified ahead.
