Students and academic staff can now obtain financial market data, reports, analyses, economic indicators or accounting data of publicly traded companies through the Refinitiv Workspace for Students platform, which is available from November 2022 at the Faculty of Economics and Administration in the Scientific Information Centre (library) and FinLAB (classroom VT105).
The database provides access not only to real-time financial data (stocks, commodities, indices or derivatives) but also to historical data dating back to the 1960s, economic and ratio indicators, industry statistics, equity data, interest rates and exchange rates. With an integrated development environment, Refinitiv Workspace allows you to flexibly use and analyze data using modern APIs and popular languages such as Python.
Refinitiv Workspace can be used on computers in the Scientific Information Centre – Library. After launching the web interface of the application, it is necessary to enter individual access data (name and password), which are available on request from the library staff. In addition to the library, the Refinitiv Workspace is available in FinLAB (classroom VT105), where it will be used by students during courses from the Department of Finance, in particular Financial Management, Financial Markets, Securities Analysis, Risk Management of Financial Institutions and International Finance.
The use of the Refinitiv Workspace is for academic and study purposes only, any use for commercial purposes is prohibited.
