Dr. Karel Habsburg-Lothringen (Chairman of the Association of National Committee of the Blue Shield) will visit Faculty of Economics and Administration MU. Theme of his lecture is The Final of the Centennial: 1918-2018, From the multinational Habsburg Monarchy to modern Central Europe as a region with common cultural identity and economic collaboration in the European Union.

After the lecture, you are invited to a discussion.
The lecture will take place within the subject Economics of Organizations.

Miloš Fišar: Transparency in publishing increases the credibility of research

Dr. Miloš Fišar with his colleagues from the universities in Vienna, Paris and Dallas confirmed that the application of open science principles makes sense. In collaboration with more than seven hundred volunteers, they verified the validity of the results of nearly 500 studies. In May Dr. Fišar received the Masaryk University Rector's Award for Outstanding Research Achievements for Young Scientists under 40 for his research.

The winners of the MUNISS inter-university competition are developing a digital platform for Brno university students in cooperation with the city. It should contain useful information and make it easier for young people to live and study in Brno. The team successfully presented their project at the URBIS fair in early June.

New series links science and politics. The first policy report analyses the willingness to vaccinate against covid-19

People with primary education and people living in households with a net income of less than CZK 30 000 per month are less likely to be vaccinated against covid-19, according to an analysis of data from the Life in a Pandemic survey by researchers from the HEPII institute. Whether people trust experts and government institutions is key to their decision-making. According to the researchers, it is therefore important to build trust consistently.
