Ceremonial lime tree planting in Lipová

Rector of Masaryk University, Mikuláš Bek and governor of the South Moravian Region district Bohumil Šimek, will plant a lime tree (lípa in Czech) in Lipová street.
Based on this act, Masaryk University will take part in the project of South Moravian Region called 100 lime trees – 100 celebrations. The project should serve as a reminder and tribute to the 100th anniversary of the Czechoslovak statehood.
Within the framework of the project, 64 lime trees will be planted by representatives of the region, 18 by the governor, 6 by rectors of universities located in Brno and 12 by important figures of the city.
Ceremonial lime tree planting will be held on September 27 at 3 pm at the back entrance of Faculty of Economics and Administration building.
