Department of Economics

The Department of Economics has been one of the key departments of the Faculty since 1991, when the Faculty was established. The department's staff is involved in teaching the core economics courses common to all students and a considerable number of specialised vocational courses. In addition to teaching, members of the department are involved in scientific research.

Teaching and research aim to link theoretical economic knowledge with economic policy practice.

We provide students with comprehensive knowledge that systematically links theoretical concepts with historical development and the current economic situation through attractive and modern teaching methods. Our graduates are equipped with universal knowledge that will enable them to find employment in various organisations - from medium and small enterprises, to large corporations, banks, consulting companies, ministries, the central banks, and European institutions etc.
