Description | This preliminary work towards course prerequisites refinement focuses on detecting relations between courses using a novel method for quantifying the dependency ratio of courses. This method is based on the historical data on student enrolments in courses. We describe the extraction of data from Excalibur data warehouse. This data contain interim results of students conducted to study at Faculty of Informatics Masaryk University. This method facilitates to improve the success rate of difficult courses by refining the course prerequisites. We confront the results with the background knowledge. |
