| Description | The paper is focused on the conditions for strengthening the competitiveness of territorial units on the example of Vyškov. Competitiveness is seen through the prism of regional development, especially the partial component of tourism. The object of research is a town in South Moravia Region - Vyškov. Structural analysis of the competitive environment is complemented by a questionnaire survey among tourists and the results are compared with a similar survey carried out by the Czech Tourist Authority (CzechTourism). Optimization of the competitiveness level of the city (in a model territorial unit Vyškov) is introduced within the context of presented analyses. |
