Description Our Summer Law School on Medical Law was held in English, because it is the sole language of communication of European students and teachers. English is, however, language of Anglo-American law (common law) whitch differs from continental (civil) laws of other European countries. It is thus often hard to find sutable English terms for description of law and practice. Therefore, I ask readers for leniency. Damages caused ba medical malpractice are awarded according to laws addressing so-called civil (private) liability for wrongful acts (in Anglo-American terminology "torts").
