Description | LIBS as a versatile analytical technique can excel as a fast metod for monitoring of the cultivation process and for classification of various algae species on the base of their elemental composition/distribution (chemical fingerprint). Here we desribe the utilization of double pulse LIBS in orthogonal configuration for analysis of algal biofilms. The detection, mapping and quantification of selected macro- and micro-elements (such as Na, K, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Zn, Ca etc.) within algal biofilms are detailed. |
