Description Here we show that the Arabidopsis thaliana dynamin-related proteins (DRPs) required for clathrin-mediated endocytosis closely associate with PIN proteins at the cell plate. We propose that a specific internalization of PIN proteins by the DRP1 proteins from the cell plate during cytokinesis is an important mechanism for proper polar PIN positioning in interphase cells.
