Citation
Description The paper presents results of analysis of weather records coming from diaries of Premonstratensian monastery at Hradisko and the priory at Svatý Kopeček for the years 1693–1783. They allow characterisation of temperature, precipitation and wind patterns, cloudiness and meteorological events. Information from diaries was used for creation of monthly temperature and precipitation indices and in this way are further compared to indices derived from the instrumental period of 1961–2000. Data of different hydrometeorological extremes were studied with respect to existing past and recent series of such phenomena in the Czech Lands. All the daily reports on the weather and related phenomena in the diaries analyzed have been interpreted and included in the appendix to this publication.
