Description Paper is focused on analysing the relationship between self-esteem and coping strategies in relationu to attributional characteristics by adolescents. Research sample consist of adolescents in age between 12 and 19 years (N= 411). We researched their attributional style, two dimensiones of self-esteem: self – liking and self – competence; and we used dispozition coping model in dealing with stress (Brief COPE, Carver, 1997). Relationship self-esteem and coping strategies to attributional characteristics is only partially identical. We focused primarily on identifying attributional pessimistic style in relation to stress management, self-assessment and evaluation of stressful situations.
