| Description | The article is devoted to theoretical and methodological background of tourism public subsidy. The first part deals with the two main ideological approaches to economy which are followed by approaches to tourism public policy itself. The existence of public sector intervention into tourism sector and its practical embodiment in the form of tourism public policy is advocated from macroeconomic and microeconomic percpective. Main arguments against the intervention of public sector into tourism are discussed subsequently. Following text describes the practical form of public sector policy in recent mixed economies, including its executors, targets and tools. The last part of article is dedicated to the assessment of tourism public policy. |
