| Description | This paper focuses on current activity of the World Bank and its criticism. The aim of this work is to point out the sources of ineffectiveness of present World Bank operations and to propose possible reforming measures. We suggest that reform should be implemented mainly in the areas of assistance to low-income countries, loan conditionality, assessment of lending activity results, administration and organization of the World Bank and system of membership quotas. |
