| Description | The study shows that one of the key possibilities to better understand the death of Jan Hus in Constance is to observe how he depicts the theme of martyrdom in his work. The author of the article summarizes the previous scholarship in this area and draws attention to the so far unused source of Hus’ university interpretations of Psalms 109–118 (ca 1405–1407) containing passages where Hus speaks about martyrdom. |
