Description This paper is based on knowledge about disadvantages of migrants at the labour market. The article is dealing with factors of their marginal position at the labour market. The statistical data about the employment of foreigners shows that migrants are employed in particular at the marginal positions of the secondary sector of the labour market and at the tertiary labour market. The tertiary sector of the labour market is composed from the work places, that are resigned (by native born labour force) or intentionally determined (by employers) for the foreign born workers. In this text are identified and discussed the factors of marginalization of migrants at the labour market: human, cultural and social capital, strategy of the temporary economic migration, adaptation strategies of employers and the institutional reasons. Our findings are based on the interviews with foreigners and with the employees of the public employment services.
