Description Theoretical analysis of ribose, arabinose, lyxose, and xylose intercations with borates minerals was carried out. These complexes presumably played key roles in prebiotic synthesis. Calculations proved and chemically explained significant preference of ribose against borate complexes with aldopentoses, which could play important role in ribose selection as basic chemical RNA element in prebiotic conditions.
