Description Credit theory of money in the second half of 19th century and beginning of 20th century did not constitute a coherent track of thoughts but rather the history was that separate authors individually came out with similar ideas about the credit nature of money and its major role in the social accounting process. Although the full tree of credit theory of money did not grow up in that period, the roots were already firm and are unambiguously identifiable.
