Description As children with disabilities are placed in regular classrooms, teachers need appropriate methods of assessing learning in this integrated environment. Types of authentic assessment such as portfolios are found to be useful for learners of all abilities. Implementing authentic assessment in teacher-training programs will allow students to experience these methods and transfer them when they enter the field.
