Description Current reforms of a railway transport are based on vertical separation, i.e. formal as well as practical unbundling of operations from an infrastructure. Nevertheless, this inspectional solution yields several problems which keystones have both economic as well as technical nature. Finally that means that the unbundling within special conditions of a particular country could not make towards higher effectiveness, but conversely towards higher total costs of the railway transport. This will evoke a higher public expenditure and simultaneously a lower customers profit as well as a lower consumers utility. The article identifies such problems and makes a proposal of a necessary analysis of final effect of unbundling in the Czech Republic.
