Description The paper discusses the possibilities and limits of the role of market in provision of law and the economics as a theoretical tool of this "law as a market good" approach. Although is a sound economic logic behind the idea of increasing efficiency of legal norms by allowing competition in the process of its creation, there is also a question of making the agents to keep the rules which is in principle a question of violent force and as such falls behind the common scope of economics and market based on voluntary cooperation of free agents.
