| Description | MEFANET deals with modernizing and advancing the education in biomedical disciplines with the use of information technology and telemedicine. The project is oriented to the support of new generation multimedia learning aids, building systems for on-line teaching of therapeutic procedures and web archives of images from clinical practice. Particular project outputs include systems for videoconferencing of live surgeries, databases of medical images from various modalities and on them based diverse learning aids available on the web. Interoperability of the tools and portals used at the engaged faculties is emphasized, in order to allow sharing education materials among students as well as among authors. Besides designing and developing, MEFANET solves also means of implementation of the project outputs into the medical teaching including programmes of lifelong education of physicians. |
