Description Recent data concernign hippocampal morphology in schizophrenia, its genetic background and functional consequences suggest that schizophrenia can be viewed as a disorder of connectivity of heteromodal association cortex leading to inefficient cooperation between the systems that participate on higher stages of information processing.
