| Description | Cardioprotection can take several forms. During an acute cardiovascular event, protective measures can limit damage and enhance survival. In those who have had a previous cardiovascular event, cardioprotective measures can prevent recurrence and long-term cardiovascular related damage. Protective measures can also prevent initial cardiovascular events in the general population and in people who are at high risk due to an adverse cardiovascular risk profile. |
