Description Fingerprint exploitation might be seen as one of the approach thereby human properties within or/and between prehistoric populations are investigated. In archaeology, fingerprints are the most frequently observed on the surface of ceramic pots and figures, and also other materials, such as those of organic origin, or further ancient paper texts and graphics, and recently newly added bronze alloy corrosion products (copper patina). The authors intend to highlight the traceological value of archeological artifacts which should be taken into account while cleaning, and other conservation/restoration procedures are performed.
