Description There are numerous calcite veins with quartz and little sulphides that cut through the Devonian limestones near Hranice. They are assumed to be a post-Variscan mineralization stage. Low temperature fluids (50 to 100C), from which hydrothermal minerals precipitated, can be best interpreted as mainly basinal brines (type H2O-NaCl-CaCl2).
