Description | Males, larvae and puparia of Odontomyia pulcherrima Bunetti, 1920, are described for the first time. The larvae are unique among Odontomyia species in that they live on wet rocks at waterfalls and are adapted to hydropetric conditions. Relatioships of O. pulcherrima are briefly discussed and a preliminary key to the four Oriental Odontomyia larvae known so far is given. |
