| Description | This article describes the new directions in care for frail elderly people in Europe. New directions were influenced by three main factors: the demographic changes, the fiscal crisis of the welfare state and the new view of the period of growing old. By new models of services for elderly is restrained the risk of social exclusion of them. The participation of the elderly is encouraged in other comunity life by this new trends. |
