Description The main benefit of beekeeping is not only the production of honey and other bee products, but also the pollination of cultivated and wild crops that depend on bee pollination. Pollination can be considered an ecosystem service. The aim of this paper is to estimate the value of bee pollination activity in Slovakia and the Czech Republic in 2020 based on the calculation of the utility value of pollination. Its essence is to estimate the impact of pollination on the fluctuations in the income of crop growers who depend on pollination. The data source was the Faostat database. The given data were supplemented with the coefficient of dependence on bee pollination. Based on the methodology used, we subsequently estimated the value of bee pollination. In the case of Slovakia it was € 79,190,880 in the Czech Republic € 160,248,215. Both countries have the advantage that the number of bee colonies is relatively sufficient. Unfortunately, in many countries of the world, as well as in the European Union, losses due to the lack of bees are expected.
