Description Every patient suspected from peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a patient with claudication, resting ischemic pain of the lower limbs (LL) or with non-healing LL defects should undergo an angiological examination. It is important to keep in mind the existence of the diagnosis of PAD, which is quite widespread in the population. Correctly taken medical history, performed clinical examination and timely referral of the patient to a specialist can save the patient's limb and save it from amputation. This article aims to introduce the issue of PAD to first-line doctors.
